Hehe I also actually can't (but understand a little here and there) but need to learn. Reason being my bro-in-law is Chinese so my niece will need to learn English, Malay and Mandarin... but she seems to pick up Japanese more than the other three haha.

ah haha, i get chinese n thai...if i get indonesian, i'm happy since closer to malay..wakaka! i got myanmar before....being 'thai' was useful when i was doing research in thailand coz i manage to get the local price instead of the high price they charge foreigners, wakaka!

ah! we are really in the same boat coz i get tt too! ppl dun approach my sis but they approach me, even though we are sitting beside each other! they say my sis has this defensive look tt kind of deterred them..
well, sometimes u like it esp when u are bored and haf nothing to do...but most of the time, i can be irritating esp when they talk a lot n not give u a chance to reply...and they talk as though you haf known them for ages...when u knew them lil for a millisecond? haha!

yesh, i find it a lil bothersome when they start asking me personal qns and start bombarding me with advice..sometimes they relate their personal stories...which most times, i haf no interest...but cannot stop coz as u said...they are way older than me...(and i hate it when the grannies start touching my hand while giving advice..haha, jus tt they pat my hand so hard, it starts to get red after a while..wakaka!)
